Taking care of your Stockings

Nylon retains it's strength when wet, but this does not mean it's immune from snags. Although my fishnets get thrown in the washing machine all hosiery should ideally be hand washed in lukewarm water with a mild detergent (La Perla recommend Woolite). For my fancy stockings I use the shower gel version of my perfume which does linger on the stockings and makes the whole task seem a little more glamorous. Stockings should be rinsed until the water is clear and then hung up by the toes to dry. Check your pegs and line for snags.
